The $240 million project is planned for completion in October.
Holland Energy Park is getting closer to being fully online and operational.
“All the initial testing has been completed,” said Ted Siler, operations director for the Holland Board of Public Works, which is spearheading the project.
Now as drivers travel on Chicago Drive and around the bend into Holland, they’ll notice a more complete power plant, native landscaping and a pedestrian bridge that takes visitors through walkways that extend around the entirety of Holland Energy Park.
Inside, workers are busily testing to make sure the plant is fully up and running, with a goal of “substantial completion.” The plant has passed the majority of these punchlist tests, Siler said.
