HOLLAND, MI – Holland Board of Public Works celebrated the opening ceremony for the $240 million Holland Energy Park this week.

The park marks the next phase of the city’s goal to sustainable, long-term energy use.

The Holland Energy Park is designed to double the efficiency of the city’s past power generation, while cutting its carbon emissions by half.

The ribbon cutting and Envision Award ceremony for the park Monday was attended by about 250 people and included ceremony speakers such as Holland mayor Nancy Boer and HBPW general manager Dave Koster.
