In partnership with the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council, Holland Board of Public Works is bringing a rain garden workshop to Holland Energy Park!
Rain gardens are landscaping assets that help control stormwater runoff (including flooding issues in yards/basements) on your property while promoting water conservation. In this workshop, we’ll be covering how to plan, design, and implement a rain garden. Participants will leave with a plan in-hand for their property, access to a digital plant guide for choosing your plants, and extra resources to use at home to maintain and enhance your project in the future.
The last 20 minutes of the workshop is optional: we will head outside to look at the native plants and rain gardens at the Holland Energy Park.
This workshop has a $5 registration fee to cover the cost of course materials.
Online registration is currently open here!
Walk-ins are welcome to pay at the door with cash only, but are not guaranteed a seat in the class.
